I’m a wild highway fairy

Yesterday I went to an In-Time live roleplaying tavern together with my beloved goblin and a friend of ours.  It was pretty nice and we stayed until nearly 2 ‘o clock (and after the clock change it was nearly 3 ‘o clock).

I’ve definitely got to improve my roleplay costume, I can’t find my peplos anymore and I’m working at two more characters at the moment, if I don’t even speak about my second active character beside my healer, Nesta, whom I played yesterday.

And I got quite a catchy tune, it’s called Daffodil the highway fairy and I can really recommend it. It’s total nonsense.

But at least, nonsense about a fairy. ^^

Another swap and a nasty flu

My swap barbie finally has arrived, and the girl I sent her to seemed to really like her! I by my self recieved a cute leprechaun barbie as my “secret fairy” looked at my deviantart and here for inspiration (thank you so much ^^).

I already entered a new craft swap, this time with an “Emilie Autumn” theme. I really appreciate her music (I’m listening to her at the moment) and am curious about the one I’m going to be a secret fairy to this time…

My illness is not gone yet. :(  I’ve still got a headache, but not as bad as on the first day when I couldn’t even sleep. I guess it will fade slowly, but the most important thing is that it fades somehow. The cough and flu even got worse…

Anyway, I had a nice little photo shoot with my protegé this afternoon, which resulted in a new avatar for me at my favourite bulletin board and some other quite pretty pictures. Sadly, they’re not edited yet, I’m kind of playing around with the gimp now, but it doesn’t really fit yet.

Maybe I can show them one day. ^^

The mean monster catched me at last

I’m an ill little princess at the moment. Everybody at my school class had had it, and now it’s my turn, as it seems.

Yesterday I had a terrible headache that luckily disappeared tonight. I slept about ten hours, and that’s pretty much for me and as a result I was able to go to school. Now I’ve only got a flu and a sore throat left, but I feel the headache coming back again. So I’m drinking one pot o’ tea after another and hope our weather here is turning better soon, it’s all rain and wind at the moment. The trees outside my window are shaking and the raindrops shatter at the glass and I’m lucky that I went to get bread before the rain began.

I sent my swap-barbie today, and I hope the girl who gets her likes her. To my surprise, I do. Her dress went out quite well when all the lace had been sewn on, and now I can concentrate on my innumerable other projects, including my A-grades ^^.

Today, it’s shamrock fairy!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!

Actually, I wanted to go to Emerald’s Pub today with two friends of mine, a satyr and a Cheshire Cat,  but since it’s Tuesday and I’m quite useless on Tuesdays, I decided to take the train to my beloved goblin boyfriend instead where I can curl up and have a nice evening though.

Tuesdays are fairly hard, school starts two hours later but ends at half past four or even later, with four hours of art history as the last lesson. I love art history, but four hours and a class mostly without knowledge or manners are pretty severe. I’m even taking an energy potion with me today! It’s green, so it suits the day ^^.

So goodbye for now, see you soon & tóg go bog é.

Monday comes with silent paws

Oh well, another week has passed and I fear I didn’t do any of these things listed below except my ethics essay.

I’ve got two presentations to hold this Thursday, one on conspiracy theories in ethics class and one on Carl Friedrich Schinkel, a Prussian architect of neogothic and neoclassicism. He even built a lighthouse, and I love lighthouses. ^^

Another thing to be done is the “gothed up” Barbie for a craft swap at my favourite bulletin-board (currently off-line). I still have to finish her dress and make-up and add some jewellery and maybe a second outfit…

To come to more princess-like matters, I bought the Classical Inspirations magazine this weekend! I showed it to my maternal grandmother and she was as enthusiastic as I were. The little teddy bear with the rose embroidery on his belly is just too cute. My paternal grandfather is going to show me how to carve and I will also ask him to teach me how to stitch “paintings”. He always says that I inherited some of my abilities for crafts from his grandmother who was a tailor and crafts teacher herself…

So, maybe I’m able to show something crafty this week, I’ve been way to faineant lately.

A lot to be done

I’m reading Gone with the wind again at the moment and I still love it. Most people think it’s a simple boring tearjerker, but really: it’s not. The novel is quite sarcastic and even feministic according to Scarlett’s business and her animosity against the stiff rules of the society she lives in.

There’s so much I’ve got to do: Write my statement essay for ethics class about conspiracy theories, sew my graduation dress, hold a steampunk LARP, write a book, draw my comics again because I don’t like the older versions any more, clean up my room and keep it tidy, sew an everyday dress and an old-fashioned bathing suit and so on.

I don’t feel very motivated right now, but maybe this will change tomorrow… And I can’t find my favourite cookbook!

What a mess. But maybe I get to sew my ruff this week.

Spring is coming, the fairy’s singing

I feel this good today!

I got a quite good mark at maths today (well, I’m not a genius there, so it’s officially just average, but it’s great for me) and I wore my new DIY top at school and it looks so pretty!

Now I’m sitting here at home, sipping at my elder lemonade, listening to swing music and altering one of my old t-shirts.

I really love swing music. I don’t know why, but it gives me dancing feet, just like the film Hairspray says in its first song.

I’ve got so many sewing projects and to much blue fabric. Actually, blue isn’t a colour that suits me well. I’m reddish blonde and have green eyes, so I look if I was sick when I wear it… Well, the metres of smoky blue cord are already set for a swallow-tail-justaucorpse-mixed thing for Bertolt, the pianist of my band. It matches his eye colour perfectly, so what stands more to reason? It will be for performances, if we ever should get some.

Spectre ist a little lost in the woods surrounding it at the moment and I just can’t get my songs finished. We’re doing some covering and folk now, but the real Spectre is still to discover since we don’t get on with the original songs we’ve got so far…

The name was chosen after the little village in the film Big Fish (by Tim Burton), one of my favourites and was the only one we all could agree with and I think it goes quite well at least with the kind of music I want to play, an assortment of swing, rockabilly, folk, classical influence, maybe musical and gothic. Oh well.

But I’m still feeling good and relieved with my maths mark, so just before I go and spoil it by thinking about problems that don’t have to exist, I close for today.
