30 Days Lolita Challenge – Day 30

The grande finale (with some delay)!

Day 30 – A photo of yourself taken today and 3 good things that’s happened over the last 30 days

It’s not a photo of me, but she somehow really resembles me… leaving out the clothes, that is.

  1. My presentation for my bronze age practical course went quite well although I was very nervous and thought I wasn’t prepared at all. I feared that I couldn’t fill even fifteen minutes with what I had to tell, but I ended up talking over half an hour. My tutor was also pleased by what I said, so everything went fine.
  2. Training was challenging but great during the last 30 days, and I finally managed the kote-gaeshi joint lock in jiu-jitsu as well as got a compliment of a senior student in savate for my leg technique. My trainer also told me that he wants me to go to the European championship in September.
  3. I had wonderful moments with my friends: A great adventure at the weir with Imp and Scoundrel; the exploration of the abandoned side building of our house, again with the Scoundrel and some real treasures; breakfast with Jules while watching a girl’s movie; a fun time with Teli at the hardware and a toy’s store and not only several encounters but also a very nice evening with the Nocker, and the latter also with his friends who I found are surprisingly amiable as long as they don’t talk about politics (and, of course, with Scoundrel again).

30 Days Lolita Challenge – Day 28

Day 28 – A Picture of the perfect Lolita Location

Picture belongs to Warner Bros.

It’s Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter novels and movies. I chose it because of its picturesqueness and the fact that it resembles my beloved town quite well. We’ve actually got a street I refer to als “Diagon Alley” as well as a building everyone talks of as “Hogwarts”.

In my Lolita I don’t need pretty gilded cages in form of macaron-covered french cafés (I don’t object, either, but…), I prefer something crooked, something that grew by itself.

30 Days Lolita Challenge – Day 27

Day 27 – One Song that fits your favorite Lolita Style

Picture (2008) from bbc.co.uk

William and Davy by Kate Rusby.

It’s English folk (and every other song by Kate Rusby is great, too, by the way!) that fits my sense of a mori girl classic steampunk Lolita best, or at least I couldn’t find something better. Actually it’s one of my favourite songs at the moment, no day goes by without me listening to it.

30 Days Lolita Challenge – Day 25 (and no Day 24)

Day 25 – Your favorite Lolita-themed Artwork

Kira Imai’s musicians. All of her work is awesome and inspiring, but I like them best. Maybe because of the clothes and instruments – I’d love to have both!

All pictures in this post belong to Kira Imai.

Day 24 was by the way “a picture of you from a meet”, but as I don’t go to meet-ups, well… maybe some day. If university lets me.

30 Days Lolita Challenge – Day 19, 20 & 21

Day 19 – What’s in your Make-Up Bag (or Box, in my Case)?

Actually, I don’t wear make-up that often. But after I’ve got a make-up box now (finally), I might as well show you what’s inside. Or at least what I use most.

At least one eyeshadow in a muted colour, rouge, lipstick, concealer, another lipstick, lipliner, black and white eyeliner and mascara. That’s it.

Day 20 – A Picture of a Lolita Friend

It’s Hare, and yes, I count him a Lolita friend. He fits into every bag and gives me confidence when I feel insecure to go out alone in Lolita. Well, actually I’m not that alone then. ^^

Day 21 – Your favourite fictional Lolita

Sakura Kinomoto from CardCaptor Sakura. She’s not really a Lolita, but her outfits count.

Otherwise, it would be Miwako from Paradise Kiss.
(Both pictures are not by me and belong to their artists)

30 Days Lolita Challenge – Day 18

Day 18 – A Picture of your favorite Lolita Style

Classic Steampunk Mori Lolita

Pirate Military Punk Lolita

Never mind the names, I just tried to describe those styles somehow, and if this is special snowflaking, I’ll live with it. And I couldn’t just go for only one.

Disclaimer: Photos definitely and sadly not by me, but I don’t remember where they came from anymore, sorry.
