Medieval Creatures

This one’s a photo heavy post. Not a real one.

Last Saturday I went to a medieval fair that was spread all over a small old town. The ambiance was quite nice even if it can’t compare to my favourite fair at Ronneburg Castle.

Alongside the great oriental tea tent featuring Moroccan mint tea and rosebud tea (these were at least the flavours I tried) there were some boundary fences with animals that I really liked. Apart from that one of the goatlings tried to eat my dress, at least it was nibbling at it (maybe it took it wrong for spinach, according to the colour). ^^

No, that's not the hungry goatling, that's a cow. ^^
A little fellow and his mistress - he always wanted to go back to the vine merchant's stall.

The eagle owl was the only of the birds of prey behind a grate, but well, with it having a gripping power of about 500 pounds it may be better this way. Cute it is, anyway. This one’s not even all grown up yet.

The Turkey Vulture was my personal favourite, even if everybody else called him ugly. I bet he could hear that, he looked so incredibly forlorn and sad. Poor one.

The jester’s dog. His master wore a matching outfit, of course.
