Flooded Riverbanks

The little dry ditches in which piglet had nosed about so often had become streams, the little streams across which he had splashed were rivers, and the river, between whose steep banks they had played so happily, had sprawled out of its own bed and was taking up so much room everywhere […]

– A. A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh. Chapter IX, In which Piglet is entirely surrounded by water.*

Just a very cozy everyday outfit I wore on a walk to the river. I call this “casual mori”. It’s not so very fashionable but something I wear when I feel like a Very Small Animal Entirely Surrounded by Water curling up in a spot of sunlight on a fallen tree (because finally the rain has stopped for once).

Rundown:

  • scarf, pullover, boots: thrifted
  • tights: Esprit
  • dress: some minor Italian brand, but I removed the tag and can’t remember

* This is, together with Chapter III, In which Pooh and Piglet go hunting and nearly catch a Woozle, my favourite chapter of Winnie-the-Pooh, just so by the way.

  1. Find ich jetzt gar nicht so arg unstylisch. Und definitiv sehr gemütlich und angemessen für den Ausflug :)

Any thoughts?
