Imbolc

During the first few days of February I celebrated Imbolc, festival of Bríg, patron deity of (among other things) poets and smiths.
Pictures in order: freshly-cleansed amethyst |Imbolc altar including citrus peel fire, traditional tools and a flute, as both a poetry and air symbol | blessing of my hands – they are tools, after all  | blessing of my actual tools of the trade | warming of a driftwood wand I found at the river during my Yule ritual | Imbolc picture of a blackthorn twig – one of Bríg’s plants – drawn with the blessed tools
